Fertility Care

Creighton Model and Napro Technology

Maureen Dahl, CPM, LM, NFPNM, FCP of Heritage Midwifery is a Fertility Care Practitioner with the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System and a Midwifery Medical Consultant with NaProTECHNOLOGY.

What is the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System?
The Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System http://www.creightonmodel.com is a scientifically developed and standardized educational program designed to teach women how to understand and monitor their gynecologic and reproductive health.  Women are taught their unique cycles of fertility and infertility through daily tracking of biological markers such as patterns of vaginal discharge or dryness, normal menses and days of unusual bleeding. The system is akin to learning a “language" of the female body.
It can be used effectively to avoid or to achieve pregnancy. It can also be used to help couples with infertility, and to assist in the assessment and management of women's health problems. FertilityCare is reliable, scientifically sound, supportive of relationships, and cost-effective.

How effective is it?
The Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System is over 99% effective in avoiding pregnancy when properly taught by a qualified teacher and correctly applied. It is also highly effective to achieve pregnancy when couples identify and use the days of fertility. Recent scientific advances have shown it to be of assistance in identifying and treating disorders such as sub-fertility states, ovarian cysts, hormone disorders, endometriosis, miscarriage and PMS. In addition, it has an impressive success rate in those with infertility.
